This Winchester manufactured takedown model (trigger) guard is for the model 1890 slide action rimfire rifle and has the 6th variation top tang marking which says "-Trade Mark- / -Winchester- / -Reg. In U.S. Pat. Off. & Fgn.-". This guard is in very good condition retaining perhaps 60% original nickel finish with the balance exhibiting a brownish gray patina with light wear. (file photo)
